Who we are
This site is run by Miracle Assembly (Oxygen Church), Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. We are the "controller" of your personal data, which means we decide how it is used and we are responsible for looking after it. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).

What we collect, and why

We collect only what we need. If a form asks for something, it is because we use it.
Our reasons for using your data
- You asked us to. Registering, creating an account or applying means we need your details to do what you asked.
- You agreed. You tick a box that links to this page. You can take that agreement back at any time.
- Keeping the site working and safe. Basic security and anonymous counts.
Who sees your data
We do not sell your data. Ever. Only the Oxygen team members who need it can see it.
A few services help us run the site. They handle data for us and only for that purpose:
- Our hosting and email provider (Namecheap). Your data is stored on their servers, which are outside Nigeria. We choose providers that protect data and use secure connections.
- Google, only if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in. Google tells us your name and email.
- YouTube, only if you press play on a video. See the Cookie Policy.
If you choose the Job Fair or Study Abroad Fair, we may later offer to share your name, contact details and CV with employers or schools taking part. We will ask you first and only share if you say yes.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your data;
- stop using your data in a certain way, or take back your agreement;
- give you your data in a file you can keep.
Do it yourself: if you have an account, you can download your data and delete your account from your dashboard. If you registered for the Summit, you can delete your registration from the bottom of your ticket page. For anything else, email privacy@theoxygenchurch.org. We aim to answer within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your data, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). We would like the chance to fix it first.
Young people
The Summit is open to everyone, so some people who register are under 18. When you register, you tell us if you are under 18. If you are, you must confirm that a parent or guardian knows. A parent or guardian can ask us to see or delete a young person's data at any time. If you are under 18 and want an account, please get a parent or guardian's permission first.
Keeping your data safe
The site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection. Passwords are stored scrambled, never in plain text. Only a small number of named people can open the admin area. No system is perfectly safe. If something goes wrong that could harm you, we will tell you and the NDPC as the law requires.

We use only the cookies the site needs to work. Read the Cookie Policy for the list and how to change your choice.
Changes to this page
If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top. For big changes we will tell you by email.
